On January 31st from 12:00 -2:00 pm, the staff at the Carolina Center of Educational Excellence hosted a workshop that provided participants the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in virtual reality.

Participants were able to

  • Define virtual reality and what distinguishes it from augmented reality
  • Discuss how virtual reality can be used to reshape our pedagogical approaches, what types of projects are possible and a realistic timetable for completion given number of students
  • Try out a variety of virtual reality apps for themselves

Identify spaces where they can use VR on campus and the VR reservation process
